IBM Maximo (EAM) solutioning
Jantacare Certified Solution Designer and Implementation professionals who designs an IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management solution within the customer environment and is responsible for documenting the proposed solution processes and specifications.
The Solution Designers expected to perform these key tasks with limited assistance from peers, product documentation, and support resources
Key areas of solution design include:
- Maximo Gap Analysis to identify functional gaps and provides a detailed Gap Resolution for each identified functional gap.
- Requirements Analysis and Process Documentation (As-Is, To-Be)
- Map customer business requirements to IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management solution.
- Apply asset management concepts and standards to a customer‘s asset infrastructure.
- Assess Enterprise Asset Management process maturity.
- Assess the environment for asset and service management opportunities.
- Assess requirements and create a solution design.
- Describe business and technical advantages of IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management solution.
- Data loading strategies and planning
- Technical Upgrade Process- there are three possible approaches to a Maximo upgrade project:
- Using IBM Maximo upgrade utilities to run the upgrade
- Installing the new version of Maximo and manually migrating components from the older system
- conducting a re-implementation of Maximo in cases where the gaps between the existing system and the desired to-be system are sizeable enough to treat the project as a new implementation of Maximo
Jantacare Maximo professionals and Certified Solution Designer Skills:
- Familiarity with require hardware and software components
- Working knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management.
- Familiarity with IBM Maximo Asset Management architecture.
- Capability to assess and analyse service management maturity according to IBM terminology (based on an IBM Asset Management solution).
- Familiarity with production, facility and asset life cycle management.
- Conceptual knowledge of key IBM products (WebSphere Application Server, DB2, Tivoli Directory Server).
- Conceptual knowledge of key 3rd party products (Syclo, WebLogic, Oracle, Microsoft SQL, etc.).
- Conceptual knowledge of networking environments, operating systems, relational databases, application environments, key vendor environments (SAP, Oracle etc.).
- Working knowledge of Tivoli’s process automation engine (formerly Maximo Base Services).
- Working knowledge of key Enterprise Modules within Maximo: Inventory, Contracts, Procurement, Assets, etc.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Asset Management process analysis methods and techniques.
